FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
Luxury Boutique Hotel • Turks and Caicos • USD $90,000 per year
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are searching for a Financial Controller for a luxury boutique hotel in Turks and Caicos. This is a senior finance leadership role for a hands-on, detail-oriented professional comfortable working closely with a lean team in a dynamic luxury hospitality environment. The role carries full responsibility for financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, systems oversight, and statutory compliance.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead all financial operations including accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Produce timely monthly financial statements, management reports, and business performance analyses
- Oversee internal controls, statutory compliance, and audit readiness
- Manage purchasing controls, inventory, cost control, and payroll processes
- Oversee the integrity, security, and performance of the hotel's financial and operational systems
- Manage system implementations, software integrations, and data governance across hotel platforms
- Partner with department heads to support operational performance and financial accountability
- Lead and develop the finance team while maintaining a close, hands-on working style
WHAT YOU BRING
- Minimum 5 years of progressive financial management experience, including at least 3 years as a Financial Controller or senior finance leader within a luxury hotel or boutique property
- Caribbean experience is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of hotel accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls
- Hands-on, detail-oriented approach - comfortable leading within a small, close-knit team
- Experience with hotel systems including PMS (preferably Opera Cloud), POS, procurement, payroll, and revenue management platforms
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero or comparable platforms
- Strong understanding of hotel operating metrics including ADR, RevPAR, TRevPAR, and occupancy
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; strong Microsoft Office proficiency
- Professional accounting designation (CPA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- International mobility and willingness to relocate to Turks and Caicos are required
