Bee Safe: Child safety is at the heart of everything we do and is embedded in our people, places and processes. Help us give every child the Best Start in Life.
We’re seeking a people-focused, commercially minded and hands-on People & Culture Business Partner to partner closely with our State Manager, Area Managers and Centre Directors across Western Australia. This is an opportunity to make the role your own, providing end-to-end people support while building leadership capability, shaping people strategies and contributing to projects that make a real difference across our centres.
What you’ll do
Partner with State Manager, Area Managers and Centre Directors to provide practical, commercially focused people advice and support.
Provide end-to-end IR/ER support, including case management, performance, conduct, grievance, Workcover oversight and investigations.
Provide expert advice on Award interpretation, employment conditions and industrial relations.
Coach and mentor operational leaders to build their people management capability and confidence.
Work with State Manager on succession planning, workforce planning and people strategy to support future capability.
Identify people trends, risks and opportunities to inform business decisions across WA.
Contribute to and lead People & Culture projects and initiatives, collaborating with the broader P&C team.
Support the implementation of people strategies, processes and initiatives across our WA centres, ensuring they are practical, engaging and aligned to the broader Busy Bees strategy.
What you’ll bring
A genuine commitment to child safety, wellbeing and alignment with our Busy Bee values.
Proven experience as a People & Culture or HR Business Partner, ideally in a complex, multi-site or high-volume environment.
Strong IR/ER knowledge, including experience managing complex matters end to end.
Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and Award interpretation, with the ability to provide clear, practical advice to leaders.
A people-centric approach with strong relationship-building, coaching and mentoring skills.
A hands-on, proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
Flexibility to travel between WA sites and interstate as required.

Why Work for Busy Bees?
If you’re passionate about early learning, Busy Bees is the place to be. Although we are part of a global organisation, our company was founded by three families looking for better, more enriching childcare. Three decades later, we still keep the same values at heart.
We know that we couldn’t do what we do without the important people in our teams. We invest in our people and work with them to build career pathways that inspire.
