The (USA) Staff, Software Engineer plays a critical role in delivering scalable platform capabilities and driving the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. This position leads technical execution aligned with strategic roadmaps, applies cloud-native architecture principles, and integrates AI/ML solutions to enhance platform functionality. The role involves mentoring engineers, influencing architectural decisions, and collaborating across teams to translate complex requirements into actionable solutions. The Global Governance Tech team delivers advanced Ethics and Compliance solutions supporting supply chain initiatives through agile, cloud-native development. The team prioritizes innovation, quality, and scalable software aligned with business goals. Members collaborate to design, develop, and maintain solutions across in-store, mobile, and web platforms. With strong technical expertise, ownership, and problem-solving focus, the team operates in a dynamic environment that encourages continuous learning and collaboration. This approach drives impactful results that enhance customer and business outcomes while ensuring maintainable, high-quality software solutions.
What you'll do:
- Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks aligned with roadmap milestones and domain priorities.
- Drive full software development lifecycle activities such as coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Apply cloud-native architecture principles to ensure scalable, resilient, and agile systems.
- Lead system design reviews to validate feasibility, quality, and alignment with architectural best practices.
- Build AI-driven applications integrating ML components and intelligent automation features.
- Mentor engineers, influence technical decisions, and promote engineering excellence.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and track success metrics.
- Continuously improve processes, tools, and products through innovation and data-driven practices.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation to ensure scalable and resilient systems.
- Strong experience in full software development lifecycle management, encompassing coding, testing, CI/CD deployment, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in API design, software prototyping, and applying software design patterns for secure, modular, and maintainable solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI/ML components and develop intelligent automation features using languages such as JavaScript, Python, and Java.
- Skilled in mentoring engineers, providing technical leadership, fostering continuous learning and development.
- Data-driven decision-making skills to define metrics, optimize processes, and deliver engineering excellence.
- Effective collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams, stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.

Sunnyvale, California US-11789: The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
