The Central Engineering organization plays a critical role in enabling Micron’s custom memory and storage design teams through advanced design automation, workflow innovation, and engineering productivity solutions.
Our high-achieving NAND Enablement Team is primarily focused on supporting and developing design environment. Team members collaborate with CAD engineers and designers on many sites working on all Micron product types. We are seeking a talented CAD engineer specialized in analog and digital simulations to join our team in Italy.
As a CAD senior engineer, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing and simulating complex analog and digital circuits, contributing to the development of state-of-the-art products that shape our industry. You will get a chance to develop the industry's first and unique flows to enhance productivity and reduce pre-silicon failures.
Responsibilities:
- Innovating to develop tools, flows, and methodologies to increase the design efficiency and quality of our memory designs on NAND
- Providing training, documentation, and support to end-users on new tools and methods
- Collaborating closely with design, verification, layout teams, and EDA vendors
- Agentic flow implementation using AI assisted and automated workflows, applying copilot based assistants, agentic AI flows, and rule aware automation to circuit simulation & verification.
Qualifications:
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with ability to work in global cross-functional teams.
- Excellent programming fundamentals are required
- Experience in Circuit Simulation
- Experience with Unix and shell scripting is highly preferred
- 2-5 years of related work experience
- Masters /Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or similar.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability in IC design CAD tools (schematics, layout, simulation or verification tools) from leading EDA vendors (e.g. Cadence, Synopsys)
- Direct experience with CMOS implementation including area, speed, and power tradeoffs
- Understanding of ML/AI concepts, with hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying ML/AI solutions.
- Exposure to AI-assisted automation or LLM-based workflows is a plus.
The base salary range that Micron estimates it could pay in for this position full-time is:
42.000,00 € - 72.000,00 € per year, with B3 CCNL Level.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
