Job Description

As a Armed Security Officer - San Felipe St. in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a retail grocery location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter theft, unauthorized activity, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, requesting additional assistance when appropriate.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas; report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required armed credentials and equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and site requirements; complete accurate incident reports and daily activity documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
