About the Role
We are seeking an Administration Assistant to join our team at our Portsmith (Cairns) depot. This is a permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm.
This is a diverse and fast-paced role, requiring administrative support across pallet control, freight processing, customer service, revenue management, and operational reporting.
Working closely with drivers, customers, and the operations team, you will play a key role in ensuring freight movements, documentation, and customer requirements are handled accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Manage pallet control processes, including tracking, reconciliation, and reporting
Process revenue-related administration, including invoice generation, costing, and account reconciliations
Prepare, process, and finalise freight manifests within required timeframes
Accurately reconcile driver paperwork and transport documentation
Complete data entry and maintain accurate records across internal systems
Provide customer service support by responding to enquiries and resolving freight issues
Support the Operations Team with daily administrative and freight processing activities
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all records are completed in a timely manner
What You'll Bring
Previous experience in an administration, customer service, transport, logistics, or operations support role
Demonstrated accuracy and efficiency when working with high-volume data entry and documentation
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working across multiple systems
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
High attention to detail, particularly when working with invoices, manifests, reconciliations, and reporting
Strong communication and customer service skills
A proactive and dependable approach to work, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Previous experience within the transport, freight, logistics, or supply chain industry will be highly regarded but is not essential
