Are you ready to join a team of ambitious professionals and help us simplify the world of data management?

We are looking for experienced architects who can develop detailed deployment blueprints for successful customer deployments.  Additionally, you’ll create repeatable deployment blueprints that become the templates for all customer deployments.  These will be used to develop our services practices, to enable our delivery teams, our partner teams, and our customers to deploy our secondary storage solutions applications. The ideal candidate is someone who has 10 + years experience in architecting, documenting, deploying, and enabling others.

These practices will utilize the architecture sold by our account teams to achieve customer-committed solutions. In addition to building these solutions, this role will also spend considerable time validating these procedures in the field and teaching partners and customers how to apply these in their environment.  

In this role, you will be working with engineering, systems engineers, tech marketing specialists, and customer support to build out professional services practices starting with the architectural blueprint that covers installation, integration, applications, migration, scripting (automation) to be used by delivery teams, partners and customers.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE

• Deliver architecture designs and professional services to Cohesity customers
• Produce and own formal solution design documents (HLD/LLD) that validate the agreed scope and guide the delivery team
• Act as a trusted advisor to customer architects, infrastructure teams, and executive stakeholders
• Review and approve design deviations, implementation decisions and deployment readiness milestones.
• Build strategic relationships with key customers and Cohesity teams
• Collaborate with Cohesity’s product solutions, product management and engineering teams to bridge the gap between technology capabilities and customer requirements
• Present architecture recommendations, deployment strategies, and technical risks to executive and technical stake holders.
• Engage directly with customers to understand their organization needs and identify how Cohesity’s product features can best support their objectives
• Develop detailed solution designs including architecture diagrams, sizing specifications, integration requirements, and risk assessments.
• Engage directly with customers to understand their organizational needs and identify how Cohesity's product features can best support their objectives
• Provide field feedback to Product Management and Engineering teams regarding deployment challenges, feature gaps, automation opportunities, and customer requirements.
• Define technical architecture including sizing and performance that meet customer requirements
• Engage with teams to ensure Deployment Designs are successfully deployed
• Develop best practices for the deployment designs that translate to project plans
• Continually improve deliverables as we scale and release new features/products
• Inspect deliverables for success and improvements.
• Work with others to develop post-deployment documentation (run books, pre-deployment templates, etc.)
• Convert deployment designs and best practices into a training curriculum
• Deliver hands-on training in small group formats
• Conduct beta testing of procedures for new deployment designs in the field
• Provide feedback to Implement Engineers, Systems Engineers, and engineering on ways to improve the overall experience.
• Provide leadership and support for any data recovery or Smart-Files related issues.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of professional IT experience
• Experience highly desirable in the following areas: 
• Compute & Virtualization (VMware, vSphere/vCenter, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Physical: Windows, Linux/Unix
• Databases: Oracle, SQL, MongoDB, SAP,
• Storage: NAS, SAN, Object Storage, NFS, SMB, S3, Storage Performance Concepts
• Networking: IP Planning, VLANs, Routing, Firewall rules, Load Balancing concepts, DNS, NTP, MTU, multisite networking concepts
• Security: AD, LDAP, SSO, MGA, RBAC, least privilege access concepts, Key management, encryption, ransomware recovery principles
• Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloud Archival, Recovery Patterns, Hybrid Cloud
• Data Protection, Data Security and Data Management 
• Disaster Recovery/Business Continuance
• Database Protection and Recovery
• Scripting / Automation (Python, Ansible and ServiceNow)
• Excellent communication and project-related skills are required.
• Strong written skills and the ability to create documentation.
• Self-starter with excellent organization and time management skills
• The ability to manage projects and drive to a deadline.
• Expected Travel: 50%

Cohesity employees who are within a reasonable commute (e.g. within a forty-five (45) minute average travel time) work out of our core offices 2-3 days a week of their choosing.
