In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the supply base for the A350 Electronic Thrust Reverser Actuation System (ElecTRAS), a product line with multiple commodities that frequently faces obsolescence risks. You will lead cost-saving initiatives, manage contracts, and support procurement activities to ensure operational excellence and supply chain resilience.

This position is working onsite at Chula Vista site; Relocation assistance will be provided

What You Will Learn

• Develop and execute strategies to mitigate supply chain risks and optimize supplier performance for the A350 ElecTRAS product line.
• Lead cost-saving projects for the A350 ElecTRAS and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Manage supplier negotiations and oversee contract management for the ElecTRAS Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Support procurement activities for the Engineered Items commodity, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address obsolescence risks and implement solutions.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules.
• Utilize SAP and other enterprise tools to manage procurement and supply chain operations effectively.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on supply chain performance and cost-saving initiatives.
  
  
  

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
• Experience in supplier negotiation and contract management.
• Experience in procurement processes, including purchase requisitions and purchase order management.
• Experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

• Experience in cross-functional communication and collaboration.
• Experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with engineered items and electronic components used in aerospace applications.
• Experience working on cost-saving initiatives within a supply chain environment.

The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
