Business Analyst – Albany, NY

Allpro Staffing & Consulting is currently seeking a talented and experienced Business Analyst on behalf of our valued client in Albany, NY. We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in business requirements gathering, requirements management, stakeholder engagement, documentation, testing, and Learning Management System (LMS) projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating complex business needs into clear, validated requirements and supporting successful technology solutions from planning through implementation.

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate must have:

• 7 years of experience eliciting and analyzing stakeholder business needs using a variety of analysis techniques and converting them into verified and validated functional and non-functional requirements for development, including: Functional requirements, Non-functional requirements, Report requirements, Business rules
• 7 years of experience creating and maintaining software development artifacts for communicating requirements, including:Business cases, Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Use cases, Report mockups, Wireframes, Flow diagrams, Context diagrams, Textual use cases, Swim lane diagrams, Report specifications, User interface specifications, Non-functional requirements specifications, End-user documentation
• 7 years of experience facilitating requirements workshops, including Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions and structured walkthroughs.
• 6 years of experience managing requirements throughout the requirements management lifecycle, including: Creating and executing requirements management plans, Developing and maintaining requirements traceability matrices, Establishing requirements baselines, Managing requirements change control
• 5 years of experience creating test plans and test cases and working with users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• 3 years of experience eliciting requirements for Learning Management System (LMS) projects and supporting the implementation of those requirements.
• CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) certification from the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).
• Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Business Intelligence, Information Science, Criminal Justice, Health Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Public Administration, Business Administration
