Description
StreetIQ helps highway departments and local governments assess road conditions and build capital plans that fit their budgets. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Marketing Lead to build and own our marketing function, working closely with company leadership and our growing sales team.
You will be integral to our HubSpot implementation from the ground floor, helping shape how we capture leads, organize our data, run outreach, and measure results. You will also own the marketing work that supports growth, including sales sequences, trade shows, channel marketing, and our brand.
This is a broad role for someone who has seen marketing done well and poorly and is ready to put that experience to work building something they own within a startup. You will help set the priorities, build the processes, and do the work.
Indianapolis-area candidates are preferred.
How we need to show up in the market:
Our buyers are engineers, public works leaders, and local government officials. They know their work and are approached by vendors every day. Our marketing needs to be plainspoken, specific, and grounded in the realities of pavement management, capital planning, and public budgets. You will work with sales, product, and customers to keep that understanding at the center of our message.
Why StreetIQ:
You will have direct access to company leadership and ownership of the systems, programs, and brand you help build. There is a foundation to work from: paying customers, thousands of road miles under management, and the support of The Heritage Group and its nearly century-long history in the road industry. The opportunity is to apply your experience, make decisions, and see your work contribute to the company's growth.
Essential Functions
- HubSpot implementation and marketing operations: Work with leadership and sales to build the foundation, including contact structure, segmentation, lifecycle stages, workflows, lead handoffs, and reporting. Establish practical standards for clean data and consistent use of the system.
- Sequences and demand generation: Build and refine sales sequences with our account executives. Own email campaigns and nurture programs for new prospects, trade show leads, and longer-term opportunities. Test messaging and use results to improve response rates, meetings, and qualified pipeline.
- Trade shows and events: Own event selection, budgets, logistics, booth planning, vendors, and materials. Coordinate outreach before each event, support the sales team on site, and ensure leads receive timely follow-up. Measure events by the opportunities and business they help create.
- Channel and partner marketing: Develop campaigns and materials that help engineering firms, referral partners, and other channel partners introduce StreetIQ. Coordinate joint outreach and events, equip partners with clear messaging, and track the opportunities these programs produce.
- Brand and content: Define and maintain StreetIQ's positioning, voice, and visual consistency across our website, sales materials, email, social channels, and events. Turn technical capabilities and customer experience into clear product content, case studies, and practical sales tools.
- Strategy and performance: Build a focused marketing plan and calendar, recommend how to allocate time and budget, and establish reporting that connects marketing activity to pipeline and revenue. Use what we learn to decide what to improve, expand, or stop.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.
Experience Qualifications
- Independently owned B2B marketing programs and can show how your work supported sales and business growth. Ready to take responsibility for a broader function and comfortable moving between strategy and execution.
- Advanced, hands-on HubSpot experience, ideally including an implementation or substantial rebuild across marketing and sales.
- Experience building sequences, campaigns, and lead follow-up processes in close partnership with sales.
- Experience planning trade shows and managing the work before, during, and after an event.
- Strong writing and positioning skills, with the ability to explain a technical product in language buyers trust.
- Sound judgment about priorities, budgets, and measurement. You can build a workable process with limited resources and improve it as the company grows.
- Experience in government technology, public-sector software, infrastructure, or B2B SaaS is strongly preferred. Channel or partner marketing experience is valuable
