2. GENERAL JOB SUMMARY

Aptean is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Digital Analyst to own measurement across its portfolio websites, establish baseline performance, track conversion rates, and demonstrate the impact of web investment. The role turns digital data into clear, useful insights that support web and marketing decisions.

 

3. SCOPE

Owns measurement and reporting across the Logility, vTechnologies, GermanEdge, RS Soft, Paragon Routing, Merlin Business Software, and SSG Insight websites. The role covers baseline performance, conversion tracking, dashboards, user behaviour analysis, experiment measurement, SEO and content performance, data quality, and stakeholder support.

 

4. ORGANIZATION

Reports to the Senior Director of Web Insights within the Global Digital Marketing team.

 

5. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Establish baseline traffic, engagement, and conversion rates for each website so improvements can be measured.

•  Define, implement, and maintain accurate conversion tracking across all websites, working with the WordPress Developer and Google Tag Manager.

•  Build and maintain dashboards and regular reports showing performance against targets.

•  Analyse user behaviour and journeys to identify what is working, what is not, and why.

•  Support the CRO Lead by designing measurement for tests and analysing results.

•  Track organic performance and content impact to support the SEO and content teams.

•  Audit analytics and tag setups regularly to maintain accurate and consistent data.

•  Answer data questions from the wider marketing team and present findings clearly.

Work Experience

Hands-on experience with web analytics, ideally including GA4 and Google Tag Manager. Experience working with Google BigQuery to create optimised tables for dashboarding tools is beneficial.

Knowledge

Knowledge of web analytics, conversion tracking, dashboarding, A/B testing, statistical significance, SEO performance, content performance, and user behaviour analysis. Familiarity with GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google BigQuery, Looker Studio, and Power BI is relevant to the role.

Skills and Abilities

Ability to build clear dashboards and reports, work comfortably with data, spot patterns, draw sound conclusions, maintain data accuracy, explain findings in plain language to non-technical audiences, manage multiple reporting requests and deadlines, and proactively recommend next steps.
