JOB DESCRIPTION
Hydraulic Supply Company (HSC), a division of Motion Industries, is seeking a Hydraulic Technical Support Specialist based in West Palm Beach, Florida to work to work with our sales and engineering teams. This is an opportunity for a motivated and talented candidate to grow with a great team and a very successful company. Please note this is NOT an IT position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer technical questions about fluid power from internal and external customers
- Design basic hydraulic systems to meet customer requirements
- Cross-over components from other manufacturers to current supplier part numbers
- Interface with engineering, build shop, customer service, and sales teams
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Fluid power knowledge/experience required
- Work will mostly consist of sitting in front of a computer on the telephone
- Excellent telephone and e-mail skills.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Attention to detail
- Familiarity with common office software applications (Outlook, Word, etc.)
- Familiarity with internet search engines and how to find information with them
- CAD experience a plus
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills as required
