Job Description

As a Security Officer Parking Garage in Long Island City, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic media and technology location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, teamwork, and integrity while helping create a welcoming environment for guests, employees, and visitors.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a dynamic media and technology location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, studios, offices, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and report policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance issues to the appropriate site personnel.
• Support Allied Universal and site leadership with incident reporting, visitor assistance, and other security-related duties that help to deter disruptions to daily operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
