This role is responsible for supporting the Category Management team in optimizing product assortments, promotional strategies, and supplier relationships to drive sales growth and profitability within assigned categories.

Job Responsibilities:

* Assist in the development and execution of category strategies, including assortment planning, pricing, promotions, and planograms.
* Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats within assigned categories.
* Analyze sales data, inventory levels, and customer insights to identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable solutions.
* Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, manage product lifecycles, and ensure timely product delivery.
* Support the creation of promotional plans and marketing initiatives, coordinating with internal teams and external agencies.
* Monitor category performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports for management.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of category management processes and tools.
* Participate in cross-functional projects to support broader business objectives.

Job Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
* 2-5 years of experience in category management, merchandising, purchasing, or a related analytical role, preferably within a retail or wholesale environment.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level) and PowerPoint. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an asset.
* Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
