Our Finance Shared Services (FSS), located in Bengaluru, India is looking to strengthen its teams in preparation of an imminent Global finance transformation with exciting new positions being created in multiple functions.

The key purpose of the role is to perform accounting tasks relating to Bank account reconciliation and General Ledger.

Your role

Responsibilities

• Prepare Journal Entries and Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
• Compile Management accounts, budgets, and quarterly forecast, along with commentaries & associated reporting.
• Deep understanding and analysis of productivity reporting on a weekly, monthly basis, with a focus on non-productive time.
• Work with stakeholders to highlight gaps in workload. Highlight anomalies and errors for resolution.
• Review and proactively resolve issues relating to missing time and associated earnings.
• Effectively communicate reason for variances in volumes, returns and absence profiles of staff.
• Thorough review of overheads and proactive challenge and resolution of issues and errors.
• Understand, monitor, and communicate key drivers behind the salary control account process
• Preparation of Flash reporting on a weekly basis.
• Active communication and financial reviews with the Senior Finance Controllers/Senior FBP’s
• Oversee quarterly forecast and associated reporting and engage with the resourcing and workplan process.
• Ad hoc projects and support to the Senior Financial Controller/Senior FBP’s.

 About you

Professional & Technical skills 

• 3+ years of experience working in the accounting function of a sizeable international company
• Technically proficient in preparing and reviewing management accounts, budget and forecasts
• Good inter-personal skills and comfortable in dealing with senior colleagues
• Experience in working for a consultancy business, especially an engineering consultancy, would be a significant advantage
• Knowledge and experience of the following would be an advantage: Oracle ERP and Oracle EPM (ePBCS)
• Excellent Excel spreadsheet skills and exposure to Power BI
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize own workload
• Strong sense of ownership, drive and ability to deliver results
• Great attention to detail
• Good team player with positive attitude
• Strong planning and problem-solving skills with an ability to analyze information and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Part qualified CA, CMA, ACCA
• Bachelor's degree – Preferably B’Com / Master’s degree

Additional Information

• Working hours: 10am – 7.30pm (India Standard Time) but flexibility will be required.  The candidate must be available to work UK hours at month-ends.
