Louisiana Tech Athletics is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to serve in Business Operations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required/Master’s degree preferred.
1-3 years experience within a business office setting/experience within a collegiate athletics department is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office product.
Experience with an accounting software; Workday is preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with review of the Athletics budget accounts to meet all internal and external reporting needs.
Produce and manage monthly Operating Budget Reports for every team and unit within Athletics.
Ensure expenses are adequately budgeted for and appropriately coded as it pertains to NCAA reporting.
Verify procurement card transactions meet appropriate accounting standards.
Manage per diem software for department, inclusive of roster management, account funding, load approvals and monthly reconciliation.
Produce any other financial report that may be requested by administration.
Assist Athletics CFO during the fiscal year budgeting process.
Work with the university’s Purchasing office and Athletics department units to prepare and submit required bids, contract renewals and other professional services contracts; ensure that bids and contracts meet state and university regulations; once awarded create appropriate requisition/purchase orders.
Reconciliation of game contract financial arrangements.
Work closely with university personnel with the annual production of the EADA and NCAA financial reports.
Other duties as assigned by the Sr. Associate Athletics Director for Business Strategy/Chief Financial Officer.
