Background to the role:
Working across marketing, communications, digital content, events and business development activities, the team delivers a wide range of client-facing and internal initiatives, from major conferences and sponsorships to thought leadership campaigns, social media content and employer branding programmes.
This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a busy professional services environment and develop practical skills across a broad range of marketing and events activities.
Working model: Hybrid, 9-month FTC (full-time, however from an events perspective there will be some out of hours work, but this can be discussed.

About the role:
The Marketing & Events Intern will work closely with members of the marketing and events teams, supporting the planning and delivery of a wide range of initiatives.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to event management, digital marketing, social media, client communications, content creation and administrative support activities, while developing strong organisational, communication and project management skills.
This role will provide valuable experience in a fast-paced professional services environment and offers the opportunity to work with colleagues across the firm, external suppliers and industry stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support communications initiatives and firm-wide campaigns.
- Help maintain marketing assets, databases and shared resources.
- Assist with the creation and publishing of website content, newsletters and client communications.
- Support the development of social media content across LinkedIn and other digital channels.
- Assist with proofreading and quality checking marketing materials.
- Help monitor content performance and prepare basic reporting and analytics
- Assist with image sourcing, content updates and accessibility reviews.
- Assist with the planning, coordination and delivery of client events, seminars, conferences and sponsorship activities.
- Support event logistics, including venue liaison, registrations, attendee. communications and event materials.
- Assist with the preparation of event briefings, lists, name badges and presentation materials.
- Provide on-site support at events when required.
- Help coordinate post-event reporting, feedback and follow-up activities.
- Help maintain contact and event databases.
- Provide general administrative support to the Marketing and Business Development team.
- Assist with invoice processing, supplier coordination and documentation management.
- Assist with data gathering and reporting for marketing and business development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems.
- Support ad hoc projects and initiatives as required.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Currently undertaking or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Events Management, Journalism or a related discipline.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Interest in marketing, events and communications.
Desirable:
- Previous internship, work placement or voluntary experience in marketing, events or communications.
- Experience using social media platforms in a professional setting.
- Familiarity with website content management systems and email marketing platforms.
- Experience creating content for digital channels.
