Job Description
1.1 Assist in capital equipment installation, commissioning, and validation related to tubing extrusion processes.
1.2 Execute engineering projects related to catheter tubing extrusion, including process improvements, equipment upgrades, and material changes.
1.3 Support supplier qualification, supplier transfer, and material validation activities for extrusion-related components.
1.4 Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, R&D, and suppliers to resolve process issues and improve extrusion performance.
1.5 Provide engineering support for ongoing production, including troubleshooting, maintenance support, and process optimization.
1.6 Maintain effective communication and coordination with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on project deliverables and timelines.
1.7 Ensure all activities comply with applicable quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including ISO and FDA standards.
1.8 Support process validation and qualification activities, including installation qualification (IQ), operational qualification (OQ), and performance qualification (PQ) for extrusion processes.
1.9 Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance yield, reduce scrap, and improve manufacturing efficiency.
1.10 Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, or related Engineering discipline.
Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment (preferably medical device or extrusion processes).
Experience in extrusion processes, tubing, material processing, or polymer-related manufacturing will be an advantage.
Experience in validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), material qualification, or supplier transfer will be an advantage.
Knowledge and Skills
Basic project management and problem-solving skills
Understanding of extrusion or polymer processing processes
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Good communication and documentation skills
Experience in troubleshooting manufacturing processes will be an advantage
Accountability
