What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to museum visitors, staff, volunteers, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout galleries, public spaces, administrative areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor flow, credential verification, and adherence to museum policies during daily operations, special events, and exhibitions.
• Document observations, incidents, and completed patrols in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
