Description
The successful candidate will coordinate and create solutions for multidisciplinary technical activities across interconnector projects, ensuring that technical deliverables and stakeholder requirements are aligned to achieve timely project development and delivery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Technical Coordination & Integration
- Coordinate technical workstreams across relevant engineering disciplines and power system operations regulatory requirements.
- Ensure alignment and consistency of technical requirements, specifications and deliverables across different disciplines (electrical, civil, marine).
- Identify technical interfaces, dependencies and gaps between workstreams and facilitate their timely resolution.
- Support the integration of technical studies and engineering outputs into an overall coherent project solution.
Engineering Studies & Deliverables
- Have a strong foundation in electrical and/or technical matters. Familiarity with power system operations, grid planning and grid operations is a plus.
- Coordinate the preparation, review and consolidation of technical studies, engineering reports, specifications and other project deliverables, to ensure deliverables remain on schedule.
- Facilitate technical reviews and create solutions with internal stakeholders, power system operators, grid utilities, engineering consultants and other project parties.
Interface Management
- Coordinate technical interfaces between key project components, which may include electrical systems, subsea and land cables, converter/substation facilities, landing sites and connection infrastructure.
- Support coordination of engineering requirements with external stakeholders, project partners, authorities, utilities and consultants.
- Identify interface risks and escalate issues requiring management or specialist technical decisions.
Project Development Support
- Provide technical coordination support across feasibility, concept development, design and subsequent project delivery stages.
- Support evaluation of technical options and consolidation of specialist recommendations for management consideration.
- Work closely with Project Management to align technical activities with project milestones, schedules, risks and dependencies.
- Support procurement activities by coordinating technical requirements, scopes of work and technical inputs for consultancy and engineering packages.
The successful candidate should possess the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in power, utilities, transmission or major energy/infrastructure projects.
- Strong foundation in electrical engineering and/or power systems, with familiarity in power system planning, grid connection and grid operations. Exposure to transmission infrastructure and cross-border interconnectors would be advantageous.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering workstreams and technical interfaces, preferably across electrical, civil and marine disciplines.
- Experience managing technical studies and deliverables involving engineering consultants, utilities, system operators and other technical stakeholders.
- Strong technical problem-solving, stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to integrate specialist inputs into practical project solutions.
