Legal Operations Manager | Leading Bank | HKG

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Operations Manager to join the Hong Kong legal team of a leading international bank. Reporting to the Hong Kong General Counsel, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence, managing budgets and vendor relationships, leading change initiatives, and ensuring the smooth running of the legal function.

This is a highly visible role offering broad exposure across operations, finance, risk and controls, technology, and stakeholder management. No legal qualification is required—we are seeking a strong operations professional with a commercial mindset and a passion for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Hong Kong legal function
• Manage legal budgets, forecasts, and headcount planning
• Lead and develop onshore and offshore administrative support teams
• Drive process improvements, operational efficiencies, and change initiatives
• Manage relationships with external law firms and service providers
• Coordinate internal communications, team events, and engagement activities
• Oversee business continuity planning, records management, and operational risk controls
• Promote innovation and adoption of AI and technology solutions to improve efficiency

Requirements

• Proven experience in Operations, Business Management, COO Office, or Legal Operations within a corporate environment
• Strong background in budget management, risk & controls, and process improvement
• Experience delivering change and transformation projects
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Fluency in English and Cantonese
• Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
