Description
Position Summary:
The Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting day-to-day operational activities to ensure efficient production, order fulfillment, inventory management, and customer satisfaction. This role works closely with Sales, Planning, Purchasing, Production, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to coordinate orders, resolve operational issues, and drive continuous process improvements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with customer service team on orders from receipt through shipment.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure on-time delivery commitments.
- Collaborate with Planning and Purchasing to resolve material shortages.
- Plan and coordinate contract manufacturer (CM) material requirements to support production schedules and on-time customer deliveries.
- Develop and maintain material plans for Job orders, intercompany orders and CM orders.
- Work closely with manufacturing to expedite critical orders and address production constraints.
- Track inventory levels and support inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments with Logistics team.
- Monitor order status and proactively communicate updates to internal teams.
- Generate and analyze operational reports, KPIs, and production metrics.
- Support ERP transactions, including sales orders, purchase orders, work orders, and inventory movements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operational processes.
- Support new product introductions and engineering change implementations.
- Assist with forecasting, demand planning, and capacity planning activities.
- Perform other operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing, supply chain, or customer operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems (Epicor, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) is preferred.
Salary Range: $70,000-$75,000
