The Team:

S&P Dow Jones Indices is seeking a Head of North America Commercial Marketing to lead marketing programs that drive awareness, engagement, and adoption of S&P DJI offerings and index-linked products across the region.

This senior role will focus on leading commercially oriented marketing, including Account-Based Marketing, partner marketing, demand generation, thought leadership, events, and sales enablement. The successful candidate will work closely with commercial leadership, sales and account management, product management, communications, legal, and global marketing teams to support revenue growth, strengthen client relationships, and expand S&P DJI’s market presence.

The role requires a self-starting marketing leader with strong commercial judgment, financial services expertise, the ability to influence senior stakeholders in a global, matrixed organization, and the resilience to work effectively under pressure while managing competing priorities and meeting tight deadlines.

Responsibilities and Impact:

Commercial Marketing Strategy

  • Lead the North America commercial marketing strategy and team in support of regional business objectives, priority client segments, product initiatives, and revenue goals.

  • Partner with commercial, product, and research leaders to identify growth opportunities and develop targeted marketing plans for institutional investors, asset managers, ETF issuers, exchanges, wealth platforms, advisors, brokerages, insurance firms, and other financial intermediaries.

  • Represent North America marketing priorities within the global marketing organization and ensure regional business needs are reflected in campaign planning, product launches, and go-to-market activity.

Account-Based and Partner Marketing

  • Develop, lead, and execute Account-Based Marketing and partner marketing programs with key clients and strategic commercial partners across North America to support mutual growth, client engagement, and market visibility.

  • Create tailored campaigns, content, events, and sales enablement materials that address client needs and support commercial objectives.

Campaigns, Demand Generation, and Performance

  • Oversee integrated marketing campaigns across email, digital advertising, paid media, social media, events, content syndication, and partner channels.

  • Collaborate with marketing operations, analytics, digital, and content teams to improve audience segmentation, campaign performance, lead quality, and marketing return on investment.

  • Ensure marketing activity supports the North America sales pipeline and provides actionable insights to commercial teams.

  • Track and report on results, including engagement, qualified leads, client activation, partner participation, and contribution to business objectives.

Thought Leadership, Content, and Investor Education

  • Guide the development of thought leadership, investor education, and product-focused content for North American audiences.

  • Partner with Product Management, Index Investment Strategy, Communications, and commercial teams to translate market trends, investment themes, and index solutions into compelling marketing narratives.

Events, Partnerships, and Market Presence

  • Define and lead North America events and market outreach programs, including client events, industry conferences, webinars, partner programs, exchange collaborations, and thought leadership forums.

  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with relevant industry communities, associations, distribution platforms, and strategic partners.

  • Support initiatives that position S&P DJI as a leading independent index solutions provider and a valued partner for investment product distribution.

Stakeholder and Matrix Management

  • Work effectively across a global, matrixed organization, partnering with teams across marketing, sales, product, research, communications, legal, compliance, and business leadership.

  • Engage confidently with senior stakeholders, including commercial leaders, product leaders, client-facing teams, C-suite executives, and external partners.

  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy while maintaining regular and clear communication, accountability, and alignment with global standards and regional objectives.
