Job Description

Job Title: Associate Director – Alternative Coverage Team

Location: London

Hours: Full-Time

Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least three days per week or 60% of our time, at one of our office sites.

About this Opportunity:

Join our Alternative Coverage team and play a key role in building and developing relationships with hedge fund and alternative investment clients. Working closely with the Director and Head of Hedge Funds, you'll support a portfolio of client relationships, helping to find opportunities, deliver tailored banking solutions and contribute to sustainable business growth.

You'll collaborate with product, risk and delivery teams across the Bank to connect clients with the most appropriate products and services. You'll support the origination and execution of new business opportunities, contribute to client proposals and help build long-term partnerships that bring value for both clients and the Group.

As an ambassador for change, you'll embrace new tools and ways of working that enhance the client and colleague experience. You'll also maintain a strong understanding of risk, governance and regulatory requirements, ensuring all activity is delivered in line with Group policies and compliance standards.

Why Lloyds Banking Group?

We’re on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we’re shaping finance for good. We’re focusing on the future, investing in our technologies, workplaces, and colleagues to make our Group a great place for everyone. Including you!

What we’re looking for?

  • 5+ years' experience supporting institutional client relationships within banking or financial services, including experience working with hedge funds or alternative investment clients.
  • Knowledge of lending, treasury, markets and securitisation, with experience delivering tailored client solutions across a complex stakeholder environment.
  • Experience supporting business development activities, including opportunity origination and client proposal preparation.
  • Knowledge of risk, governance and regulatory requirements within a regulated financial services environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships internally and externally.

And any experience of these would be great:

  • Experience supporting credit processes and client deal execution.

We know that great talent comes from many backgrounds. Whilst this advert may reference specific experience, we recognise that skills are developed in different ways, so if you have relevant, transferable experience, we encourage you to apply.

Our ambition is to be the leading UK business for diversity, equity and inclusion supporting our customers, colleagues and communities, and we’re committed to creating an environment in which everyone can thrive, learn and develop.

We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer Initiative.

And, as a Disability Confident Leader, we guarantee interviews for a fair and proportionate number of applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the role with a disability, long-term health or neurodivergent condition through the Disability Confident Scheme.

We provide reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process to reduce or remove barriers. Just let us know what you need.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:

  • A generous pension contribution of up to 15%
  • An annual performance-related bonus
  • Share schemes including free shares
  • Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping
  • 30 days’ holiday, with bank holidays on top
  • A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies

Join us and grow with purpose!
