What You Will Do:

• Provide daily process engineering shop floor support to Pratt & Whitney’s F135 engine depot located at NAS, Jacksonville.
• Develop and maintain process engineering work packages directing the disassembly, repair, assembly, and testing of the F135 gas‑turbine engine in accordance with engineering requirements.
• Use technical data to plan and generate work instruction packages that enable shop floor operators to meet all workscope, configuration, and engineering requirements.
• Collaborate with peers across the F135 sustainment network to develop solutions to common problems.
• Participate in investigations of process breakdowns, implement corrective actions, create and improve standard work, assist mechanics with new technical data, and support other MRO production lines as needed to meet delivery schedules.

 

What You Will Learn

• You will gain experience in gas‑turbine engine maintenance processes, robust standard work development, hardware configuration verification, and troubleshooting parts or processes out of control. You’ll develop a deeper understanding of F135 Aftermarket operations, cross‑functional problem‑solving, precision measurement, and enterprise systems such as SAP. You will also become familiar with best practices in Environmental, Health & Safety within a high‑complexity aerospace environment.

 

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; 6 years of process, assembly or manufacturing engineering experience (gas‑turbine engines preferred) in lieu of a degree
• 2+ years (with a degree) of process, assembly or manufacturing engineering experience (gas‑turbine engines preferred) required
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Willingness to work 1st shift, work overtime when needed, and respond to off‑hours process questions

 

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Prior experience in an aftermarket engine facility
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP
• Comfortable working on the shop floor and collaborating with a wide range of people.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
