We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support mechanical design activities for building services systems in our Istanbul office, with a strong focus on HVAC, plumbing, sewage and firefighting systems.

Role Overview

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will review project requirements, perform calculations and energy analyses, design compliant building service systems and coordinate effectively across MEP, structural and architectural disciplines. The role also involves close collaboration with suppliers, subcontractors, clients and customer representatives to support progress, quality requirements and timely resolution of project issues.

Job Description

• Review project specifications to define the applicable requirements.

• Perform specific calculations and energy analyses using advanced spreadsheets and building simulation software such as HAP.

• Design building service systems that comply with the applicable functional and safety requirements.

• Coordinate between MEP, structural and architectural disciplines.

• Maintain ongoing coordination with suppliers, subcontractors and clients.

• Prepare bills of quantities, tender books and tender documentation.

• Attend review meetings in line with project requirements and inform clients about work progress.

• Establish strong collaboration with clients to resolve issues arising during the works efficiently and in a timely manner.

• Communicate effectively with customer representatives to ensure quality requirements are met and best practices are followed while performing tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical design for building services, including HVAC, plumbing, sewage and firefighting systems.

• Good English speaking and writing skills.

• Experience with multidisciplinary coordination.

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks Manage.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Ability to adapt to new situations and people.

• Ability to work independently and effectively under stressful conditions.

• Effective time management and organizational skills, with teamwork capability and strong attention to detail.
