Description
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable for building and managing the distribution network
Drive accountability for all Foodservice delivery / driver performance and 3rd party logistics service providers, through comprehensive KPI analytics and business reviews
Create and recommend strategic plans and reviews to achieve operational objectives across our last mile locations
Plan and manage logistics, warehouses, home delivery, and shipping customer service
Assess and recommend ideal shipping methods, schedules, routing, and carriers to meet parameters, specifications, and costs
Direct, recruit, train, develop, and provide performance feedback to direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness
Oversee staff activities to ensure operations flow smoothly, instruct accordingly, and motivate performance
Coordinate with the team to manage logistics operation systems from development through execution to create more efficiencies and meet cost, safety, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)
Bachelors or above in a related field
10 years’ experience as logistics manager for large complex organization with matrix environment
Excellent understanding of distribution related IT and data
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated management skills with emphasis on guiding and developing a team, customer service, communications, and planning
Dynamic and strategic thinking abilities with a proven track record of operational excellence
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task various and conflicting responsibilities
Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence, and initiative without daily interaction with management
