Description
Key Responsibilities
- To manage the HR team to effectively carry out an efficient and confidential service to management and employees of the group.
- To manage and ensure safe recruitment processes for candidates within the group in line with policies and procedures and employment laws.
- Advising managers on selection and recruitment issues, including creation of job descriptions, safe selection process, person specifications, completing grading process, and interview panel participation.
- To manage the administration of recruitment processes, vacancy sign off, upload position on pinpoint, government websites. Attend job fairs where necessary along with the resourcing specialist.
- Manage preparation of contracts of employment in line with recruitment signoff.
- Manage policies and procedures in line with current employment laws across all the jurisdictions we operate in.
- Creation and distribution of communication articles to employees within the Group.
- Providing committed HR advice in issues such as, conduct and capability matters, organisational change and employee and employment relations matters to both managers and employees of the Group.
- Preparing regular management reports supporting in improvement of management and monitoring performance management and sickness absence systems.
- Keeping up to date with information regarding developments in human resources practices, employment legislation, and sharing of knowledge within team.
- Participating in training activities, encouraging and supporting staff in their training and development.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Level 5 Qualification in Human Resource Practice or equivalent.
- 3-5 years + experience as a HR Generalist
- IT Skills, including MS Office, attention to detail, organisational skills. Ability to work well under pressure.
- Sound knowledge of practices of Human Resources.
- Sound knowledge of legislation of employment in both IOM, Guernsey and Jersey desirable.
- Good management experience.
- Ability to ease discussions with groups and individuals.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Able to motivate and empower others to reach organizational goals.
- Ability to determine and convince others.
- Good analytical skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other team members.
- Some knowledge of working in the Care Industry would be desirable.
