Director of Finance
Grace Hospice | Full-Time, Exempt
Salary Range: $120,000–$130,000 annually based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Help shape the future of Grace Hospice.
Grace Hospice is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Director of Finance to help guide that growth with strong financial insight, thoughtful analysis, and strategic partnership.
This is a highly visible role that works closely with the CEO, Leadership Team, Board, and organizational partners. The Director of Finance will help turn financial and operational data into meaningful information that supports smart decisions, sustainable growth, and continued investment in our people, programs, and patient care.
If you enjoy looking beyond the numbers, asking thoughtful questions, improving systems, and helping leaders make informed decisions, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a mission-driven organization.
What You’ll Do
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Review financial results and develop clear, meaningful reporting for leadership and the Board.
- Build financial models to support staffing, census growth, new programs, capital needs, and strategic initiatives.
- Own and strengthen KPI reporting, including opportunities to automate and improve reporting through technology and business intelligence.
- Analyze hospice benchmarks, reimbursement trends, costs, productivity, payer performance, and growth opportunities.
- Partner across clinical, operational, HR, billing, technology, quality, and leadership teams to strengthen decision-making and data integrity.
- Support audit, Medicare cost reporting, vendor analysis, financial controls, and other key finance initiatives.
- Translate complex financial information into practical recommendations for both financial and non-financial audiences.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a finance leader who can see both the big picture and the details—someone who is analytical, collaborative, curious, and comfortable influencing across an organization.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, a related field, or equivalent job experience.
- Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, or a comparable analytical role.
- Healthcare experience required; hospice, home health, or other post-acute experience strongly preferred.
- Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and financial statement analysis.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Experience
Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools, AI-enabled reporting or automation, Medicare or Medicaid cost reporting, healthcare benchmarking, or shared-service accounting arrangements is a plus.
