Position Information
Position Title: IQC Engineer (Incoming Quality Control Engineer)
Department: Quality Assurance
Location: Bac Ninh, Vietnam
Reports To: Quality Supervisor / Quality Manager
Employment Type: Full-time
Position Summary
The IQC Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of incoming materials, components, and suppliers' products meet company specifications and quality standards. This position works closely with suppliers, Manufacturing, Engineering, SQE, and Procurement teams to resolve incoming quality issues and drive continuous improvement in supplier quality performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain Incoming Quality Control processes and inspection standards.
- Perform incoming material inspections according to specifications, drawings, and control plans.
- Review inspection results and make disposition decisions for accepted, rejected, or quarantined materials.
- Investigate incoming material quality issues and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers.
- Lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities related to incoming quality issues.
- Analyze incoming quality data and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor supplier quality performance through KPIs, PPM, defect rates, and corrective action effectiveness.
- Support supplier audits, qualification activities, and supplier development programs.
- Collaborate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, SQE, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth material flow.
- Ensure inspection records and quality documentation are maintained accurately.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) activities and qualification of new materials.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to reduce defects and improve product quality.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, customer requirements, and company quality standards.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related disciplines.
Experience
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Incoming Quality Control, Supplier Quality, or Manufacturing Quality.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing, thermal solution products, converting processes, assembly, or related industries is preferred.
- Experience handling supplier quality issues and corrective action programs.

Ability to read and interpret:
- Engineering drawings

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis.

- Good presentation and report-writing skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or relevant quality certification is a plus.
- Experience with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 systems.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Chinese language capability is an advantage.

Headcount Justification
Due to increasing production volume, new product introductions, and growing supplier quality management requirements, an additional IQC Engineer is required to strengthen incoming material quality control, reduce supplier-related defects, improve inspection efficiency, and support overall manufacturing quality performance.
