Receiving Clerk
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth and accurate receipt of incoming parts and materials, supporting our operational efficiency and inventory management. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, safety-conscious, and proficient in using technology to track and organize shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming parts and materials, verifying against shipping and receiving orders
- Locate and organize received items in designated storage areas
- Operate a forklift safely to move and position heavy loads
- Use computer systems, including Epicor, Outlook, etc.
- Sort and distribute finished goods and parts orders to appropriate departments
- Maintain order and accuracy within storage racks and work areas
- Verify incoming freight for accuracy and condition
- Organize, clean, and optimize storage space to improve accessibility and efficiency
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management to support warehouse operations
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, twisting, walking, and standing for extended periods
- Valid forklift operation certification and experience in safe forklift driving
- Strong reading and comprehension skills to interpret shipping and receiving documents
- Proficiency in using computer systems, particularly Epicor or similar ERP software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
