Description
Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Trade bookings and processing.
- Trade confirmations and Contract note.
- Static and Reference Data maintenance
- FX processing
- Review and documentation of procedures, process maps.
- Support, guidance and mentoring of team members including performance appraisals.
- Active management of day to day issues and queries from internal/external parties with Escalations as necessary.
- Co-ordination with regional trade support groups, traders and customers to resolve queries / issues.
- Active participation in Change management / UAT testing.
- Reconciliation issues
- Act as an authorizer and releaser for various systems
- You must be prepared to manage people (5-8 staff per shift)
- You must be able to supervise and have control over the daily BAU and Projects
- Play a leading role in projects, process & system improvements, cost & efficiency savings etc.
- You must be able to multi-task and deliver work on time
- You must be able to train new staff and junior staff on new tasks or work development or process changes
- You must be able to implement changes in your work scope when necessary to meet business, organizational & regulatory needs
- You must be able to lead and motivate your team staff effectively
- You will need to cover whenever staffs are on leave, and to assist and/or cover other managers and the Associate Directors when required
- Escalation point for the shift, and for the Dept. when required
- Give feedback to staff in monthly 1-to-1 meetings and appraisals
Requirements
- Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of management experience in the securities industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various levels of management.
- Detailed and working knowledge of trade processing / contracting processes, reference/static data maintenance and procedures. Candidates with direct experience in Global markets or who have Middle Office experience will be given special consideration.
- In addition to a successful career in Middle Office management, candidates with experience and knowledge of Global equity markets, practices, procedures and trends especially from the “Sell side” perspective will be favourably viewed.
- Ability to multi-task across various business and department initiatives.
- The candidate should be willing and able to challenge existing processes and procedures and suggest changes where these are felt to be appropriate and necessary.
- He/she will be adept with IT and capable of specifying business requirements for enhancements or replacements for existing or new applications.
- All candidates should be familiar with Microsoft Office and have experience in the usage operations systems/applications commonly used in securities related industry including ALERT, OASYS, FXALL etc.
- The candidate will be required to pass the Series 99 examination to obtain licensing.
- Candidate should be open to work in Asia / EU / US shifts depending on the work requirement.
