About Our Client

Our client is a well established organisation undertaking a programme of technology transformation and modernisation. They are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to provide strategic technology leadership and support the development of a modern, scalable technology environment.

About the Role

This is a senior architecture role responsible for assessing the existing application and technology landscape, defining the target state architecture and developing clear modernisation and cloud adoption roadmaps.

The successful candidate will work closely with executive stakeholders and internal technology teams, providing strategic guidance on technology investment, architecture governance and transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture & Transformation

• Lead enterprise wide application and technology assessments.
• Define target architecture and transformation roadmaps.
• Align business strategy with technology investment.
• Support organisation wide transformation programmes.
• Assess the existing enterprise application portfolio and identify opportunities for rationalisation and modernisation.

Architecture Governance

• Lead architecture governance activities and design authority reviews.
• Develop and maintain architecture standards and governance frameworks.
• Provide strategic architecture guidance across technology initiatives.
• Ensure proposed technology solutions align with the target architecture and wider organisational objectives.

Cloud & Technology Modernisation

• Advise on Azure adoption strategies.
• Support the development of cloud operating models and governance approaches.
• Develop modernisation roadmaps for applications and technology platforms.
• Identify opportunities to improve technology through cloud adoption and modernisation.

Innovation & Digital Transformation

• Identify opportunities for AI, automation and data driven innovation.
• Support the development of technology strategies that enable organisational transformation.
• Evaluate opportunities to improve efficiency and business outcomes through emerging technologies.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Engage with executive level stakeholders on technology strategy and transformation.
• Work closely with internal technology teams to develop and implement architectural solutions.
• Communicate complex technology concepts clearly to technical and non technical stakeholders.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 10+ years' experience in enterprise architecture or an equivalent senior architecture role.
• Proven experience leading organisation wide transformation programmes.
• Experience assessing enterprise application portfolios.
• Experience developing cloud transformation and Azure adoption strategies.
• Experience in architecture governance and standards development.
• Proven experience working with executive level stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of target operating models, application rationalisation and technology modernisation.
• Excellent strategic, analytical and communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

• TOGAF certification.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert.
• Experience with Azure Governance and the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
• Experience across Data and AI technologies.
