As an EHS Engineer, you will be essential in maintaining top environmental health and safety standards at our Sanand, Gujarat, India site. ## Key Responsibilities
- Conduct workplace hazard identification and risk assessments.
- Manage Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems including Hot Work, Work at Height, Confined Space Entry, and LOTO.
- Participate in incident, near-miss, and injury investigations and drive corrective actions.
- Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.
- Track contractor safety performance and verify alignment with site requirements.
- Track and report safety benchmarks and leading indicators.
- Conduct EHS inductions and refresher training programs.
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety campaigns, and awareness initiatives.
- Coordinate mock drills for fire, chemical spills, medical emergencies, and evacuation.
- Review contractor EHS plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Support ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification and surveillance audits.
- Initiate the PR and track its progress through PO issuance.
- Ensure adherence to local statutory requirements and company EHS standards.
- Support the development of safe work procedures and standard operating procedures.
- Support in preparation of AI-enabled EHS reports, presentations, and management dashboards.
- Collaborate with team members, including engineers and maintenance staff, to find opportunities for system improvements and upgrades, including AI-enabled and agentic solutions for process optimization.
## Required Qualifications
- M.Sc. in Environmental Science/Chemistry or B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, along with PDIS
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, including at least 1-2 years in chemical manufacturing.
