Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Business Development and Commercial Executive. Our client is a UK-based technology consultancy specialising in Microsoft solutions, and they are looking for a commercially minded individual to support their growth by identifying opportunities, building relationships, and keeping their sales pipeline in good order. This is a remote role supporting a UK client, and the successful candidate will be expected to work in alignment with UK business hours (GMT/BST).

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is naturally curious and eager to contribute to a growing business. The role sits at the intersection of market research, lead generation, and business development, and it offers real variety and the chance to work closely with the company's Founder.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct market research to identify target sectors, organisations, and decision-makers, and provide regular feedback to inform Dove365's commercial strategy

* Build and maintain high-quality lead lists using LinkedIn, Companies House, the Charity Commission, school directories, and other relevant sources

* Reach out to prospective clients via LinkedIn, email, and telephone to build relationships and generate qualified opportunities

* Qualify prospects by understanding their organisation, challenges, and objectives, and arrange discovery meetings with the Founder

* Develop and maintain relationships with referral partners, Microsoft partners, and managed service providers

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records throughout the sales process, ensuring leads are correctly categorised and pipeline activity is clearly tracked

* Produce weekly commercial updates and suggest improvements to outreach and sales processes

Requirements

* Matric (Grade 12) as a minimum; a National Diploma or BCom degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field would be advantageous

* At least one year of experience in a commercially focused role such as business development, sales, recruitment, account management, or customer success

* Confident communicating professionally via telephone, email, and video call

* Comfortable working independently, managing your own time, and meeting deadlines without close supervision

* Reliable home office setup with a stable internet connection, suitable for remote work aligned to UK business hours (GMT/BST)

Preferred Experience

* Prior experience in a B2B sales, lead generation, or business development environment

* Familiarity with CRM platforms and maintaining accurate pipeline or contact data

* Exposure to the technology or software sector, particularly Microsoft products or services

* Experience working with or supporting clients in professional services, education, or the non-profit sector
