Actalent has an immediate opening for a Sr Financial Analyst at our Corporate office in Hanover, MD.
Compensation
Target Salary | $80,000 - $85,000
Bonus potential | Up to $6,000 annually
Schedule
Full Time | Permanent
Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Hybrid | 4 days in office - 1 day remote
Job Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for income statement review and analysis. They prepare and maintain reporting for the financial reporting package and various other reports for stakeholders in operational departments. Financial analysts work closely with the Financial Reporting Controller to prepare the budget. Respond to inquiries from operational controllers and provide analytical support for financial reports. A qualified candidate must demonstrate initiative, flexibility, innovation, urgency, and ability to work in a diverse setting. The Sr. Financial Analyst must display the qualities of a leader and ability to manage others.
Essential Functions
- Produce monthly reporting which includes company, regional, office and director views
- Develop thorough understanding of the reporting structure of the organization.
- Develop thorough understanding of PeopleSoft HR and FS systems (ERP systems)
- Analyze financial information from all components of the organization
- Develop integrated spread, cost of sales, and pricing forecast and analysis, using complex spreadsheet and database applications
- Collaborate with various components of the organization to analyze detailed budget by account and work with Directors of Financial Operations and Regional Controllers to provide detailed financial analysis of monthly financial statements relative to budget
- Assist in developing and documenting annual forecasting process/models
- Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and performance
- Assist in analyzing and interpreting the results presented in the monthly financial reports and the forecast
- Provide analysis related to cost of sales and mark-up
- Provide ad-hoc analysis of various financial and operational metrics as assigned
Direct Supervisor or Management Responsibilities:
- Execute supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Minimum Education
- BS in Accounting/Finance
- 5+ years of progressive Accounting or Finance related experience
- Financial analysis experiences a must
- People Soft and nVision experience preferred. Oracle Fusion experience a plus
- Oracle EPM (EDMCS, EPBCS, FCCS) experience a plus
- Financial analysis experiences a must
- Advanced business degree a plus
Abilities | Skills
- Ability to compile, analyze, interpret and present complex financial analysis and projections
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel manner
- Knowledge of accounting/finance systems and related applications
- Strong level of attention to detail and accuracy of information
- Experience with Oracle EBPCS, People Soft, Oracle Fusion a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Organization and documentation skills
- Proven leadership abilities
Per Pay Transparency Acts: The range for this position is $75000 - $100,000 + bonus potential of up to $6,000
