Description
Sony Electronics Inc. is looking for the risk-takers, the collaborators, the inspired and the inspirational. We want the people who are brave enough to work at the cutting edge and create solutions that will enrich and improve the lives of people across the globe. In addition to competitive pay and benefits, we offer an environment and culture that promotes Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. In addition, our team members enjoy innovative work-life balance opportunities including a hybrid home/office workplace, monthly “Free Fridays”, and early shutdowns on Fridays throughout the year (including half-days during the summer).
Join us on our mission to fill the world with emotion through the power of creativity and technology.
We are looking for a creative, energetic, and highly organized Marketing Associate to join our Marketing team. This role will help plan and execute events, customer experiences, partner programs, and other marketing initiatives that support our business and brand.
The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of marketing, event, communications, or related experience and is ready to take the next step in their career. We are looking for someone who enjoys making things happen, brings new ideas to the table, and is equally comfortable being creative and managing the details required to execute successfully.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants hands-on experience across multiple areas of marketing while working in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Events & Experiences
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of trade shows, customer events, conferences, partner events, internal events, and other marketing experiences.
- Manage event logistics including schedules, vendors, venues, registration, materials, signage, equipment, shipping, and on-site coordination.
- Work with internal teams and external partners to ensure events are delivered professionally and consistently.
- Participate in on-site event execution as needed.
- Help identify creative ways to improve customer and partner experience.
Marketing Programs
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing programs and campaigns supporting business priorities.
- Coordinate program timelines, deliverables, communications, creative assets, and stakeholders.
- Support partner and channel marketing activities where appropriate.
- Help develop promotional materials, presentations, communications, digital content, and other marketing assets.
- Bring new ideas and creative thinking to programs rather than simply executing what has been done before.
Program Management
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and keep programs moving against deadlines.
- Coordinate with internal sales, marketing, product, and other cross-functional teams.
- Work with agencies, vendors, venues, and other external partners.
- Track program budgets, expenses, schedules, and deliverables.
- Help measure event and program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Event Management, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in marketing, events, communications, experiential marketing, agency work, or a related area.
- Experience supporting events or marketing programs from planning through execution.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative mindset with an interest in developing new ideas and experiences.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail while still understanding the bigger picture.
- Self-motivated, energetic, collaborative, and willing to jump in wherever needed.
- Comfortable working with different teams, personalities, customers, partners, agencies, and vendors.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Willingness to travel as required for events and programs.
Success in this role means becoming a trusted member of the Marketing team who can increasingly take ownership of events and programs from idea through execution.
Over time, we want this person to grow beyond coordination into someone who can recommend ideas, manage programs independently, collaborate directly with sales and business teams, and help us create marketing experiences that differentiate the business.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $31.72
to $42.30.
