Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs):
Education
1.MA in a relevant field (i.e. Critical pedagogy involving digital technologies in education; technology and media literacy applications in education).
2.PhD or equivalent in a relevant field is an asset.
Experience
1.Demonstrated knowledge and experience in:
- Pedagogical role of contemporary technological media in education across disciplines
- Critical media literacy approaches
- Foundational understanding of media education and its core tenets
- Basic technology platforms and media production skills
- How new media can be used in innovative ways to enhance learning
2.Experience with digital technology as a teacher/instructor or other education professional in the Quebec educational system.
3.Familiarity with the professional competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation
Other
1.Previous successful experience teaching similar course(s) at the undergraduate or graduate level.
2.Knowledge of the impact and proven record integrating pedagogical approaches anchored to equity, diversity and inclusion.
3.Familiarity using myCourses, ZOOM and other similar online platforms to facilitate quality teaching and learning experiences.
4.Familiarity teaching blended classes is an asset.
5.Familiarity with the application of a variety of digital teaching and learning tools.
Other information:
1.Commitment to working with a team of committed and engaged instructors.
2.Must be available to attend course coordination and planning meeting minimum of 2 weeks in advance of course start date.
