Purpose of the role
To build and maintain the systems that collect, store, process, and analyse data, such as data pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes to ensure that all data is accurate, accessible, and secure.
Accountabilities
- Build and maintenance of data architectures pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable, complete and consistent data.
- Design and implementation of data warehoused and data lakes that manage the appropriate data volumes and velocity and adhere to the required security measures.
- Development of processing and analysis algorithms fit for the intended data complexity and volumes.
- Collaboration with data scientist to build and deploy machine learning models.

Looking for a highly motivated and technically strong professional to play a pivotal role in our Teradata Modernization Programme, driving the transformation of critical data assets from traditional data warehouse platforms to next-generation cloud ecosystems such as AWS, Snowflake, and Databricks.
This position offers the opportunity to influence strategic technology decisions, lead modernization initiatives, mentor engineering teams, and help define the target-state data architecture for the organization.
To be successful as a Data Engineer, you should have experience with:
- Proven experience in Teradata warehouse design, optimization, and modernization initiatives.
- Strong understanding of Teradata architecture, utilities, workload management, and performance tuning.
- Experience assessing and transforming legacy Teradata workloads for cloud-based platforms.
- Ability to identify modernization opportunities and create migration roadmaps.
- Strong SQL development and advanced query analysis skills.
- Experience working with large-scale enterprise data warehouses and data integration solutions.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks and data pipeline development.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives from concept through delivery.
- Capability to influence stakeholders across engineering, architecture, and business teams.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to drive cross-functional discussions and influence modernization strategies.
- Effective communication skills to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
