You want to make strategy work. So do we.
You want to unlock potential. So do we.
TTE Strategy is an award-winning strategy and transformation consultancy with around 50 people across our offices in Hamburg, Munich, Stuttgart, Vienna, Zurich and the Gulf region. What defines us is how we work: in co-creation, as partners, shoulder to shoulder with our clients' teams. We have grown every year since we were founded in 2015 and we intend to keep growing. We are now at the point where People & Culture has to grow with the firm.
We are hiring
Head of People & Culture (m/f/d)
Location: Hamburg | Full-time | Permanent
Your opportunity
TTE already has a People function. Recruiting runs, the feedback cycle is established, the foundations are there. What we do not yet have is People & Culture at the level a scaling firm of hundred people across six locations and four jurisdictions needs, and closing that gap is your mandate. You take ownership of the full agenda, report directly to the Managing Partners, and sit in the room where decisions about the firm get made. Part of what the role needs you will inherit. The rest you will design, argue for internally, and then run yourself. If you have been waiting for a mandate broad enough to shape a function rather than administer a slice of one, this is that mandate.
Your role with us
You own the People agenda of a professional services firm where the people are the product. In practice, that means:
- Senior recruiting and staffing. You own the hiring engine for consultants and business services, from positioning and channels through to closing candidates.
- Performance, promotion and development. You run the annual cycle, the feedback framework and the career paths, and you make the decisions hold when they are uncomfortable.
- Strategic workforce planning. You translate our growth targets into headcount, capability and organizational design, together with the Managing Partners.
- Learning and development. You build the internal curriculum and the trainer network, and you keep both relevant as consulting work changes.
- Culture across locations. Six locations, one firm. You are accountable for that being true in daily practice rather than on a slide.
- HR operations and compliance. Contracts, policies, labor law and payroll interfaces across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Gulf region. You keep this tight and you stay close to the parts that carry risk.
- People data. You build the analytics that let leadership see utilization, attrition, pipeline and engagement early rather than in hindsight.
- AI, in HR and in the work. You take the manual load out of the employee lifecycle with AI-enabled tools, and you shape how the firm reskills as AI changes what consultants actually do.
What it takes
At least eight years in People & Culture, HR or Talent, with genuine depth in the craft rather than in a single specialism. You have run recruiting, performance and development cycles yourself. You know German labor law well enough to handle routine matters without a lawyer at your shoulder, and you know exactly when to call one. And you have built something before: a process, a function, a team. Experience in professional services, consulting or a fast-growing scale-up is a strong plus, because you will recognize the rhythm of the business from day one. You hold a completed degree and are fluent in German and English.
Above all, you work hands-on. The People team here is small and will stay small for a while, so the split between designing and doing runs through your own week. You will build the performance framework and then also chase the three feedback forms that are still missing. The people who do well here find that combination energizing rather than beneath them.
AI savviness
We harness the power of AI and expect our people to be fluent in the responsible use of modern AI tools. Just as important is the ability to think critically, question conventional thinking and contribute original perspectives that create meaningful impact for our clients and teams.
Our offer
Create impact from day one. You work closely with the Managing Partners and the wider TTE team, with real ownership from the start. Your ideas are expected, challenged and actively considered in decision making. We offer a competitive, performance-linked compensation package.
Own your development. Shape your individual learning curve through direct coaching and high-quality executive education, complemented by structured training formats.
Be part of a high-performance team with strong cohesion. Work in a closely connected, international team defined by trust, constructive feedback and genuine collaboration. We value open dialogue, mutual support and the mindful consideration of individual needs in everyday work.
Be valued as a human being. We foster a culture in which people are seen as individuals, not resources, with an emphasis on respect, appreciation and sustainable working relationships.
Rely on our benefits offering. A comprehensive benefits program supporting both your professional ambitions and your personal goals. From mobility budgets and Wellpass to family support and sabbaticals, we champion everyday balance and well-being.
Our compass
“When I founded TTE, I wanted to build a place where people grow through challenge, not routine. If you’re looking for a place to contribute, learn, and lead, not just deliver, you’re in the right spot.”
Lars Linnekogel, Founder & Managing Partner
We look forward to speaking with you.
