Commercial Lines Account Executive
Job Summary
Seeking a dynamic and motivated Commercial Lines Account Executive to join the team. This role serves as the primary contact for commercial clients, managing insurance policies and ensuring a seamless customer experience. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. This professional will work closely with clients, insurance carriers, and internal teams to deliver thoughtful and customized insurance solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, understanding their commercial insurance needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, managing requests, and resolving issues with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal teams to prepare and present competitive quotes, proposals, and policy renewals for clients.
- Negotiate with insurance carriers to provide optimal coverage and pricing for clients while adhering to company guidelines and market standards.
- Effectively manage and process policyholders' coverage changes, claims, and other service requests.
- Stay up-to-date on insurance industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to provide clients with sound advice and innovative solutions.
- Proactively identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to meet client needs and support the company's growth objectives.
- Maintain accurate client and policy records in systems, ensuring all documentation and communications are up-to-date and compliant with company standards.
- Participate in networking events, industry conferences, and community engagement initiatives to promote the company’s brand.
Qualifications/Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working in commercial lines insurance, account management, or related roles.
- Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service and building lasting client relationships.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, markets, underwriting, and policies.
- Active state insurance license or the ability to obtain one within the first 90 days of employment.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in an accessible manner.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with an emphasis on attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with insurance management software.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Outstanding negotiation, persuasion, and problem-solving capabilities.
