Kia ora. We’re Foodies. You know Gilmours, New World, PAK’nSAVE, and Four Square, right? That’s us!
Gilmours is 100% NZ Owned and Operated serving thousands of businesses and organisations across the North Island for the food and beverages they need to grow their business. Gilmours is your one-stop Foodservice shop with Butchery, Produce, Chilled & Frozen, Grocery, General Merchandise, Consumables, Beverages and Liquor.
We’re about to embark on an exciting wholesale transformation programme, supporting a major transition and the future growth of our network.
Te Tūranga – About the role
As we embark on this 2-year journey, we are starting to build the team to support delivery and are looking for a Senior Change & Capability Manager to lead the change activity.
You’ll support a complex wholesale transition programme, helping our people, customers and stakeholders move through change with clarity and confidence.
This is a senior leadership role within our Wholesale Customer & Transformation team, reporting to the Head of Customer & Transformation. Working alongside programme, operational, HR, legal, IT, communications and frontline leaders, you’ll shape, land and embed practical change across the business.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the change strategy, planning and delivery for the project
- Develop practical change plans, impact assessments, stakeholder maps, readiness activities and adoption plans.
- Own the change readiness plan, including transition milestones, leadership alignment, branch readiness and adoption measures.
- Support leaders to understand what is changing, what decisions are needed and how to guide their teams through the transition.
- Create clear, practical materials that bring new ways of working, process changes and stakeholder impacts to life.
- Track readiness, adoption, engagement, issues and transition risks, stepping in where decisions or additional support are required.
- Use feedback and lessons learned to continually strengthen the change approach.
This role will be based in Auckland at our Support Centre, Landing Drive and will involve some overnight travel.
He kōrero mōu – About you
You’re a pragmatic and influential senior change leader who can bring structure to complexity while keeping people at the heart of delivery. You’re comfortable operating independently, building trusted relationships and working across executive, project, operational and frontline audiences.
We’d love to hear from you if you bring:
- Significant experience leading complex organisational change, ideally across mergers, acquisitions, operating model change, business integration, systems change or large-scale transition programmes.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and facilitation skills.
- Hands-on experience developing change impact assessments, transition plans, readiness reporting, communications inputs and adoption measures.
- The confidence to influence senior stakeholders while staying connected to the practical realities of change on the frontline.
- Experience in wholesale, retail, supply chain, foodservice or a similarly operational environment would be an advantage.
