About the Role:

We are hiring a hands-on Salesforce Senior Developer, based in India, to build Salesforce Core Platform and Experience Cloud solutions for our clients, with a strong focus on the nonprofit sector.

This is a doer's role. Most of your time will be spent building, configuring, testing and deploying, turning designs from the Technical Lead and Technical Architect into high-quality working solutions.

Our delivery philosophy is out-of-the-box first. We favour standard features, configuration and low-code tools, and only build custom where it earns its place. When custom is needed, you will have the depth in Apex, Lightning Web Components and integrations to build it well.

We are looking for a quality engineer who takes pride in their work, owns their deliverables end to end and speaks up when something doesn't look right.

Key responsibilities

Build and configure

• Deliver user stories end to end, from understanding acceptance criteria through build, unit testing and deployment.
• Configure standard features first: objects, record types, Dynamic Forms, validation rules, Flow, Experience Builder and Nonprofit Cloud standard processes.
• Build custom functionality where needed in Apex (triggers, batch, queueable, scheduled), Lightning Web Components and complex Flows.
• Build and extend Experience Cloud sites (LWR and Aura), including guest and authenticated access, sharing sets and custom components.
• Develop integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events and Named Credentials, following the designs set by the Technical Lead and Technical Architect.
• Support data migration activity: scripting, loading, validation and reconciliation.

Quality and DevOps

• Write clean, well-tested, governor-limit-safe code that follows team standards and patterns.
• Participate in peer code reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback.
• Work within Git-based source control and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. SFDX, DevOps Center, Copado, Gearset).
• Investigate and fix defects across test, UAT and production support.

 

Team contribution

• Support the Technical Lead and Technical Architect with estimates, technical spikes, proofs of concept and design input.
• Raise risks, blockers and better alternatives early rather than building to a flawed spec.
• Help and mentor junior developers and administrators.
• Work directly with UK colleagues and client stakeholders in refinement, demos and UAT sessions.
• Produce clear technical documentation for what you build.

Essential skills and experience

• 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
• A strong out-of-the-box-first mindset, with a track record of solving problems through configuration and low-code before writing code.
• Strong, current skills in Apex, SOQL/SOSL, Lightning Web Components, JavaScript and Flow.
• Hands-on experience building Experience Cloud sites, including external user security and sharing.
• Solid understanding of the Core Platform: data modelling, sharing and visibility, permission sets and governor limits.
• Experience building and consuming REST/SOAP integrations.
• Comfortable with Salesforce DX, Git and CI/CD tooling.
• Experience working directly with onshore (ideally UK) teams and clients, with excellent written and spoken English.
• Takes ownership of their work, asks good questions and challenges constructively.
• Willing to provide regular overlap with UK working hours.

Desirable skills and experience

• Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud — hands-on build experience with the current data model (Person Accounts, Fundraising, Gift Entry, Program and Case Management, Volunteer Management, Outcome Management).
• Experience with the legacy Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) or NPSP to Nonprofit Cloud migrations.
• Awareness of UK nonprofit needs such as Gift Aid and GDPR consent management.
• OmniStudio (FlexCards, OmniScripts, Integration Procedures, Data Mappers).
• Experience integrating payment, marketing or finance platforms.
• Exposure to Data Cloud or Agentforce.
• Accessibility (WCAG) experience on public-facing sites.
