As Finance Business Leader for this part of the S&P Global organization, you and your team will provide expert financial insight, consultation and decision support to the EDO Leadership Team. Working closely with the CFO of EDO and Market Intelligence. Your team will also have a dotted-line collaboration with the Enterprise Technology finance team as it relates to the EDO FP&A of technology. This role requires you to primarily work UK business hours with some overlap to US hours a plus.
Responsibilities and Impact:
Strategic Financial Partnership & Decision Support:
Serve as the primary finance business partner to EDO leadership, providing expert financial insight and decision support on strategy while championing innovative AI-driven approaches to financial analysis
Lead the financial planning, execution, and reporting of a multi-year expense productivity program, partnering with senior leadership to define objectives and success metrics, oversee progress against milestones, and provide clear, decision-ready performance and progress reporting through routine and executive-level updates.
Lead EDO budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and planning activities using next-generation financial planning tools and AI-enhanced models that provide deeper business insights and predictive capabilities
Champion innovative approaches to financial analysis, actively seeking ways to integrate emerging technologies and AI-driven insights into traditional FP&A workflows
Translate strategy into actionable financial plans and participate in Quarterly Business Reviews, forecast calls, and strategic planning sessions with a progressive mindset toward process optimization
Financial Reporting & Executive Communication:
Develop and implement sophisticated financial models and forecasts that support enterprise technology initiatives, leveraging automation and AI where possible for enhanced accuracy and efficiency
Deliver clear, actionable insights to executive leadership and the Board using advanced analytics and visualization tools to enhance decision-making capabilities
Create standardized tools, dashboards, and reports for operational visibility, incorporating AI-driven insights and automated reporting mechanisms
Team Leadership & Development:
Build and lead a high-performing team with a culture of continuous improvement, technological advancement, and progressive thinking
Foster an environment that embraces AI adoption and encourages fresh perspectives on traditional financial processes
Guide teams to achieve holistic understanding of technology expenditures while promoting innovative approaches to cost optimization
What We're Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
12+ years of progressive finance experience, with minimum 10+ years in FP&A with significant focus on technology sectors and demonstrated ability to drive process innovation
Proven track record working with C-suite executives in technology environments, demonstrating strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leadership on innovative financial approaches
Extensive experience with SDLC, technology workforce planning, and software application rationalization, coupled with progressive mindset toward AI integration and process optimization
Experience developing and evaluating business cases for major data and technology initiatives, ensuring clear articulation of ROI, business value, and financial impact.
Experience managing financial operations in large, matrixed technology organizations with demonstrated ability to challenge traditional approaches and implement efficiency improvements
This person will work in UK time zone working hours.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Track record of successfully implementing AI or automation solutions within FP&A processes to drive efficiency and accuracy improvements
Experience leading digital transformation initiatives within finance organizations, particularly in data-driven environments
Strong change management capabilities with proven success in fostering progressive mindsets and driving adoption of new technologies and methodologies
MBA and/or CPA/Chartered Accountant strongly preferred
