Description
Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Vaughan, ON
Compensation: $60,000 - 70,000/ year
Job Type: 6-Month Contract (with strong potential to permanent)
About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join a stable and growing distribution
company based in Vaughan. In this role, you will take ownership of full-cycle AP processes, manage vendor
relationships, and ensure the accurate and timely processing of high-volume invoices.
This is a 6-month contract opportunity with a strong likelihood of transitioning into a permanent role for the right
candidate.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform high-volume, full-cycle accounts payable processing and managing trade spend payables

Match, batch, and code vendor invoices against purchase orders and experience with vendor deductions

Execute weekly payment runs, including EFTs and cheques, ensuring all discount terms are met.

Reconcile monthly vendor statements and investigate any billing discrepancies.

Act as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries, providing timely and professional support.

Collaborate with internal departments to secure invoice approvals and resolve outstanding AP issues.
Qualifications:
-
3+ years of dedicated experience in full-cycle accounts payable.

Post-secondary education or a certificate in Accounting/Bookkeeping is an asset

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel

High level of accuracy and keen attention to detail.
Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
