About the Role:
With a focus on both tactical and strategic sourcing elements, the Procurement Officer will be responsible for executing on MRP recommendations and manual requisitions to ensure production and aftermarket spares have the right volume of materials available at the right time.
What You'll Do:
Managing inventory, E&O, DOS, MRP demand, PO issuing and vendor management.
Manage Supplier relationships as related to administration, supply and operational issues
Manage the daily, weekly, fortnightly replenishments for product lines and assessing and acting on MRP recommendations
Maintain service levels of stock and KPI’s to agreed targets
Partake in PFEP reviews and assess materials for lean supply opportunities to reduce DOS and E&O risk
Review requirement for economical orders for overseas suppliers should they not have been able to be ordered
Identify and execute on opportunities for sourcing or PPI savings through the supply chain
Run backorders without purchase orders reports weekly, download in excel and review and follow up
Maintain and update weekly reports for Standing Orders, Category A Stock, ETA’s and acknowledgements
Responsible for reviewing the high dollar value indents daily and report on progress of shipments
Work cell metric boards including SQDC accountability.
Generate Counter-Measure reports for misses and gaps in metric data.

Supporting team performance by undertaking activity as required covering other team roles during absence or during peaks in demand
Education
Tertiary qualification in Supply chain, logistics, business or related discipline
Experience
Proven experience in Procurement function with a good understanding of the respective processes
Experience in vendor management, MRP and purchase order process
Comprehensive knowledge of how to import product from overseas suppliers
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Good computer literacy including Excel and INFOR XA MRP
Good understanding of Inventory Management, E&O and DOS management
Excellent communication skills and great attention to detail and accuracy.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Onsite, office & warehouse.
Some out of hours may be required.
