Procurement Officer

We're looking for a motivated Procurement Officer to join our team in West Auckland. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their procurement or supply chain career who is keen to learn, develop commercial skills, and gain exposure to procurement, supplier management, inventory planning and business improvement in a complex manufacturing environment. The role supports procurement activities across the business, helping ensure materials and services are sourced efficiently, suppliers perform effectively, and production requirements are met.

What you'll be doing

Working closely with our Procurement Lead and wider operational teams, you'll:

• Raise and manage purchase orders to support production requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and help ensure materials are available when needed.
• Track supplier deliveries and proactively resolve supply issues.
• Build positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Support sourcing activities, supplier evaluations and tender processes.
• Analyse procurement and supplier data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain procurement records and supplier information.
• Assist with forecasting, reporting and procurement planning activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and supply chain processes.

About you

You may already have some procurement, purchasing, inventory, planning or supply chain experience, or you may be a recent graduate looking to establish a career in procurement.

We're looking for someone who has:

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Confidence working with systems, data and spreadsheets.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive approach to problem solving.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Qualifications in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

It would be great if you also have:

• Previous purchasing, inventory, planning or procurement experience.
• Exposure to ERP systems.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• An interest in data analysis and process improvement.
