Senior Accountant

Position: Senior Accountant                          Location: Charlotte, NC (Southpark Area)

Status: Full-Time / Salary Exempt                 Manager: Controller

SUMMARY OF JOB: The Senior Accountant will manage general accounting, assist with financial statement reporting, budgeting, and audit requests. We are offering a competitive base salary and benefits package. The schedule is 3 days in the office, with an option to work remotely 2 days after a training period. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure the month-end close process is completed in a timely manner
• Responsible for fixed asset tracking, including recording acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation each month
• Reconcile subledgers to the general ledger
• Work closely with the accounts payable team to ensure proper GL coding and appropriate approvals are obtained
• Manage the accounts receivable process including oversight of the credit card transaction processing system
• Oversee compliance reporting including property taxes, business licenses, and unclaimed property
• Provide documentation for interim and year-end audit requests

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Experience: 3-4 years of accounting experience
• Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency required, experience with Microsoft GP Dynamics, Sage Fixed Assets, AvidXchange, Solver, and SAP Concur preferred
• Soft Skills: Ability to interact professionally with co-workers and management; a commitment to accurate reporting of financial information while maintaining confidentiality
