Why this role matters
With a strong focus on operational excellence and efficiency, we are looking for a high-calibre People Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing our core HR processes through automation while driving a culture of continuous improvement.
As the first point of contact for employees and key stakeholders, you will manage enquiries across the entire employee lifecycle, including matters related to employment law and HR policies, ensuring compliance with both local legislation and global standards. You will also identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve operational effectiveness, and deliver an exceptional employee experience at every stage of the employment journey.
The role is based in our office in Limassol, Cyprus. In case of relocation, we offer full relocation support for you and your family to make your move smooth and worry-free.
What you'll actually do
- Oversee and manage employee lifecycle processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from onboarding to offboarding
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement optimizations in collaboration with the team; Work closely with the team to manage core HR workflows within the HR systems, fix gaps and deficiencies, and suggest and implement improvements
- Support the successful execution of on-site and remote payroll; Proactively identify and resolve emerging issues and risks to deliver high-quality services for employees
- Execute regular audits of the core HR processes, employee data and documentation within the HR system; Collaborate with stakeholders to provide insights through data analysis and reporting, supporting decision-making processes
- Lead or participate in cross-functional projects to support strategic goals; Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures based on the stakeholder’s requirements; Support global alignment of People practices initiatives across all offices
Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field., Holder of CIPD will be considered an advantage.
- Over 4 years of experience in the HR Operations field (or equivalent), preferably within a Fintech company or a fast-paced, high-growth industry, ideally in a global or multi-regional setting
- Proficiency in HRIS systems with a comprehensive understanding of data management and integrity.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel, with expertise in complex formulas, data analysis, and reporting.
- Strong and practical understanding of local employment laws.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret and apply employment law knowledge to provide sound, practical advice tailored to organizational needs
- Skilled facilitator of team collaboration, with the ability to connect insights, processes, and stakeholders effectively.
- High level of IT and database literacy, with the capability to quickly learn and navigate new systems and tools.
- Fluent in spoken and written English, with excellent communication skills to convey complex information clearly.
- Demonstrates strong organizational and problem-solving skills, operating with a degree of autonomy to manage day-to-day work priorities effectively.
- Builds positive relationships and demonstrates genuine care for people, supported by strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Seeks direction, instruction, and advice from the People Operations Team Lead on broader work priorities, while independently addressing tasks with a can-do attitude.
- Maintains a focus on quality and speed, adapting to changes with ease and prioritizing operational excellence.
- Is tech-savvy and attentive to detail, ensuring data integrity and accuracy in all aspects of work.
- Eager to learn and develop, embracing opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
