Role Profile:

We are looking for an AI & Data Innovation Intern to join our Reimagining Arcadis Transformation team from September 2026 to January 2027. Based primarily in Amsterdam, with collaboration from our Rotterdam office, you will have the opportunity to work with Artificial Intelligence initiatives within a leading global design and engineering consultancy.

As part of the team, you will contribute to the testing, and continuous improvement of AI-powered solutions (agents) that are being designed to support Arcadis business operations. This role offers an opportunity to explore how emerging technologies can be applied to solve real business challenges, improve processes, and create value across different parts of the organisation.

You will work closely with technology specialists, and business stakeholders to test AI agents, evaluate solutions, and help document their purpose, functionality, and business benefits. Your responsibilities may include supporting user testing activities, analysing feedback, managing and organising data, preparing presentations and documentation, and contributing to the creation of materials that promote understanding and adoption of AI capabilities across the business.

This internship is ideal for individuals who are curious about Artificial Intelligence and eager to learn how AI technologies can be applied in a practical business environment. You will gain exposure to Microsoft technologies and AI platforms, including Azure AI Foundry and the broader Microsoft ecosystem.

The role provides the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from different countries, disciplines, and cultures. You will work in a highly international and multicultural environment, engaging with teams across the globe and gaining insight into how technology and AI are transforming the way organisations operate.

We welcome students from a variety of academic backgrounds, with a preference for Business Administration, Information Management, Data Science, or related disciplines.

A genuine interest in Artificial Intelligence, data, and digital innovation, combined with analytical skills and a willingness to learn, is essential for success in this role. Experience working with data, an ability to organise and manage information effectively, and curiosity to explore new technologies will be highly valued. As the working environment is fully international, fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required, along with the ability to communicate effectively with multicultural teams and stakeholders across different regions.

We are open to Students looking for an internship as part of their studies or to complete their thesis. If a Graduate internship, then your thesis should be aligned too AI use and how it can help shape and support global businesses.
